Granite International obtains relevant personal data in a variety of ways:
For Candidates, we collect your name, contact information, education, resume, work history and, at the appropriate time, references. We collect information through direct contact with you and capture information from several sources such as email, notes from telephone conversations or in person meetings, or information you choose to provide through our website. With your agreement, we retain your relevant information to maintain an in-depth understanding of you as a candidate. We will share information you choose to provide if it is relevant to the search and your candidacy, with your permission.
We may also collect information from publicly available sources or industry sources.
We will ask you if there are any restrictive covenants that could impact your ability to fulfill your responsibilities in the new role or your ability to work for the Company.
We will conduct reference checks, using references that you provide and explicitly give us permission to contact. We may also contact you as a source of information or reference for other candidates.
For Referees, provided you and the candidate both provide authorization, we share with the client your name, occupation, professional qualifications, relevant employment history and your connection to the candidate. We do not attribute reference specific comments back to the source but summarize the information from a number of sources in an anonymized manner. This anonymized information is then shared with the relevant people involved in the hiring decision.
For Clients, we collect information about the position, team and Company that will provide the necessary context for candidates to determine their interest and fit for the position.
We do not ask personal sensitive information and encourage candidates not to provide us with sensitive personal information that is not relevant to the position such as religious or political beliefs, health information, and sexual orientation or ethnic origin.
We do not conduct education checks, background checks or financial checks. However the hiring Company may do so, and may contract with an independent third party to do those checks.
For Candidates, we use the information you provide to assess qualifications and fit for the position. We make this information available to the client to support their consideration of you as a candidate.
For Referees, we use the information you provide as an anonymized source as a reference for the candidate to enable the client to make the best decision for the search.
For Clients, we use the information you provide for the candidates awareness so candidates can assess their fit of the position and determine how well it aligns with their career goals and objectives.
By sharing your information with us, you explicitly consent to our use of the data for the purposes of conducting our business. You may withdraw your permission at any time by contacting us directly. See contact information at the end of this policy.
We keep your information as long as it is relevant to our business operations. If you choose to revoke your consent, we will delete your information.
